OSTEOWALK
FOR FITNESS AND HEALTHY BONES
Osteofit - strengthening bones and reducing the risk of falls one step at a time!
On Sunday May 31, 10-11am, a FREE public walking event is being held at several local community recreation centres around the province. The event is organized by BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre’s Osteofit Program to launch a walking version of the popular Osteofit classes.
The one hour instructor-led session will explore effective research-based techniques in walking for bone health. Stretches will be taught and a discussion on how to choose appropriate foot wear is also included. Everyone welcome and all levels of ability can be accommodated. Wear appropriate supportive shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.
